While a PC is required to use Pistol Mix itself, Cloudhead tells UploadVR you can play modded scenes on Steam, Rift, and Quest versions. Pistol Whip is available now on the Meta Quest platform, PC VR, Pico 4, PSVR, and PSVR 2. Once the tool reaches full release remixes will be accessible directly inside the headset from Pistol Whip. Available to download through Cloudhead’s Discord server or mod.io, custom creations can then be shared and downloaded through this platform. Pistol Whip takes the familiar but largely forgotten genre of the arcade on-rails shooter best known for Time Crisis and House of the Dead, places you in a strange, pulsating environment, and couples it with score incentives to fire your bullets on a rhythm. The open beta remains live until then for anyone looking to try it sooner.
